November 2009: Chris Baker and Tom Lawlor form Joint Venture

Chris Baker and Tom Lawlor, formerly of Bear Stearns and Euro-Hypo, have formed a joint venture offering real estate valuation, brokerage, and consulting services in California and the western U.S. One of the focus' of the new business is tax consulting and appeals. This new venture will allow Baker Valuation and the new company Baker & Lawlor http://www.bakerlawlor.com a presence in Los Angeles, California with an opportunity to serve west coast clients more easily.

November 2009: Dan Weinrib, former Jefferson County Alabama Tax Assessor has joined the staff of Baker Valuation,

 specializing in Ad Valorem Tax Appeal consultation throughout the southeast region.

September 2009: Chris Baker, MAI, SRA, recently became the first member designated through the pilot E-Demo process for

the MAI designation.

June 2009: Chris Baker is awarded the Appraisal Institute’s highest designation, MAI.

October 2008: Chris Baker is awarded the Appraisal Institute’s SRA Designation.

October 2008: Baker Valuation secures financing for a multi-tenant shopping center in Beaumont, Texas.

October 2008: Conventional Single Family Lending is off but FHA financing is not, especially FHA Reverse Mortgages.

October 2008: Baker Valuation is an FHA Approved Appraisal Provider.

September 2008: Baker Valuation adds Business Valuation, Equipment and Machinery appraisal to its core business services.

September 2008: Chris Baker becomes a member of NAIOP.

August 2008: Baker Valuation Lists Major Manufacturing Facility in Gulfport, Mississippi.

2007: Baker Valuation completed more than 6,000 property valuations for the Louisiana Road Home program to expedite the

rebuilding efforts of homeowners affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

2007: Recently engaged by the State of Louisiana for valuation services related to the property tax appeal of approximately

1,300 commercial and residential properties in Orleans Parish.

2007: Provided valuation services for London-based Apax Partners Worldwide, for the acquisition of Qualitest Pharmaceutical’s

700,000 square foot drug manufacturing facilities in Huntsville, Alabama, and Charlotte, North Carolina.
